AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1.060
OF FEDERAL REVENUE SEARING FUNDS. PREVIOUSLY
APPROPRIATED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1976 FOR THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES
THROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 8466, AS AMENDED:
COCONUT GROVE FAMILY CLINIC, $500; ST. ALBANS
DAY CARE, $500; EDISON LITTLE RIVER: PROJECT
YOUTH, $700: J.E.S.C.A.,HOT MEAL4 $500;
COCONUT 0koVE AFTERSCHOOL HOUSE, $300;
COMMUNITY TELEVISION OF SOUTH FLORIDA, $300;
ACTION COMMUNITY.. CENTER,.$200; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS OR PARTS THEREOF
IN CONFLICT INSOFAR AS THEY ARE IN CONFLICT;
AND PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY.CLAUSE.
'BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1.
Funds fiscal year

19751as amended,
The following funds from Federal Revenue Sharing
1975-76 having been previously appropriated
No. 8466, passed and adopted on September 26,
are hereby appropriated for the purposes
outlined below for the fiscal year 1976-77:

J.E.S.C.A. - Hot Meal

Section 2. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause,
phrase, or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining
provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 3." All ordinances or parts of ordinances,
insofar as
they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance, are hereby repealed.
Section 4, This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency

The attached proposed ordinance has been found necessary to
effectuate disposition of the $3,000 remaining from the original
$15,000 appropriation for the Downtown Senior Citizens Community
Center, Inc. during the fiscal year 1975-76.
. . At the last Commission Meeting, October 14, 1976, Ordinance No.
8582 was passed on second reading distributing the $3,000 among
, . . .
seven social agencies, in accordance with Commissioner Gibson's
proposal. However, due to the passage of time from its first
reading, September 9, 1976, the Finance Department has indicated
that a formal reappropriation ordinance be adopted. Accordingly,
favorable consideration of the attached proposed ordinance is
recommended.

$150000 appropriation for the Downtown Senior Citizens Community
Center, Inc. during the fiscal year 1975-76.
