t IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF M ► LORIDA :
Section 1. A permit is hereby authorized to be
issued to EDISON CENTER INTERNATIONAL MASONS AND EASTERN STAR
for amusement rides at Shell City Parking Lot, N.W. 58 Street
and 6 Court, in connection with its carnival on December 1
through 12, 1976, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Such use shall not be established for a
period exceeding ten days, nor shall any
one location be used more often than once
a year.
The operators of the amusement rides shall
obtain the necessary licenses, permits and
Certificate of Use.
• Small tents shall be permitted only to carry
on ride activities.
. The operators of the amusement rides will
provide sanitary facilities for both male
and female patrons.
5. The operators and employees of the rides will
not domicile on the property.

"SUPPORTIVE 6. No alcoholic beverages may be sold on the

FOLLOW" 7. The City of Miami Police Department will be
contacted and the number of off -duty policemen
that the Department feels are necessary to
direct traffic and provide for security will
be employed by the permit holder.
Operations must conform to noise level require—
ments as set forth by the Director of the
Building Department.

An application has been received for a carnival to
be held by Edison Center Masons and Eastern Star
at the Shell City Parking lot, N. W. 58th Street
and 6th Court, December 1st through December 12,
1976. It complies with all provisions of
Ordinance #6871.
It is recommended that the attached provisions be,
attached.

We have evaluated the requests for permits for the following carnivals
and determined that these carnivals will require the following police
officers for security.
Both carnivals will utilize a minium of three (3) officers
and (1) supervisor.
Police officers will be on duty during all hours of operation
of the carnivals.
The Boringquen Lions's Club will
28 Nov. 76 at the Miami Stadium
Order of Masons will hold their
12 Dec 76 at the parking lot of
hold a carnival from 19 Nov. 76 to
Parking Lot, and the International
annual carnival from 1 Dec 76 to
the former Shell City store.
