BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY or MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A permit is hereby authorized to be issued to 'Mahi Shrine Circus for amusement rides in connection with its Carnival at 450 Northwest 37 Avenue, on November 24 thru December 5, 1976, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Such use shall not be established for a period exceeding 7 days, nor shall any one location be used more often than once a year. The operators of the amusement rides shall obtain the necessary licenses, permits and Certificates of Use. Small tents shall be permitted only to c4rrYtpan nida.1-4 activities. DOCUMaiN1 ITEM NO. The operators of the amusement rides will provide separate sanitary facilities for both male and female patrons. The operators and employees of the rides will not domicle on the property. • No alcoholic beverages may be sold on the premises. • The City of Miami Police Department will be contacted and the number of off -duty policemen that the Depart- ment feels are necessary to direct traffic and provide for security will be employed by the permit holder. . Operations must conform to noise level requirements as set forth by the Director of the Building Department. Shrine Temple to conduct a Carnival to be held in conjunction with its annual Circus to be held at 'Plagler Kennel. Club. Circus dates are November 24 through November 28, 1976. We are however, requesting permission for our Midway Carnival to be held on the same dates in conjunction with the Circus and extend to December.?', 1976. Nov '1 `1 - J C. Ray Lightfoot 1500 N. W. North River Dr. Miami, Florida 33125 The usual rides, such as Merry-go-round, Tilt -a -whirl, Ferris Wheel, crambler etc., will be offered on the Midway. In addition, there will be a number of concessions, all to be in conformity with existing regulations. For information, we have a copy of your letter of March 1, 1974 to for- mer City Manager Andrews referring to your document " Guidelines to permit- ted Operation of Carnivals" and which we have a copy on hand. Also enclosed is a Photo Copy of the State of Florida Certificate of Registration. Mahi Temple is fortunate to have as one of its Uniformed Units the Provost Guard. This Units membership is composed primarily of City of Miami police officers and officers of the Public Safety Department. Their services have always been provided on a voluntary basis, and I can assure you there will be ample coverage for traffic and crowd control.
