SURJECT. Appropriations for Current Expenses
Prior to Passage of Annual Appro-
priation Ordinance
REFERENCES. Section 31, City Charter
ENCLOSURES.
Section 31 of the City of Miami Charter stipulates:
"Before the annual appropriation ordinance has been
passed the commission, upon recommendation in writing
of the city manager, may make appropriations for the
current expenses of the city, chargeable to the appro-
priations of the year when passed, to an amount
sufficient to cover the necessary expense of the var-
ious departments, divisions and officers until the
annual appropriations ordinance is in force."
In accordance with this provision, I am requesting that the City
Commission authorize the current expenses of the City until the
annual appropriation ordinance is adopted, and that such expendi-
tures be chargeable to the adopted appropriation ordinance.
