IN THE AMOUNT OF $370,215 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF BISCAYNE JEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4390 (BID "A" HIGHWAYS) IN BISCAYNE WEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT II-4390 (BID "A" HIGHWAYS); ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $370,215 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "HIGHW Y BOND FUNDS" TO COVER THE PROPOSED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT Or $ 37, 723. 63 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF $5,404.35 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHOR- IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on September 9, 1976 for the construction of BISCAYNE WEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4390; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $370,215 bid of Williams Paving Co., Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for (BID "A" HIGHWAYS) and recommends that a Contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled "Highway Bond Funds" for the proposed amount of the Contract, for Project Expense, and for such items as Advertising, Testing Laboratories and Postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The September 9, 1976 bid of Williams Paving Co., Inc. in the amount of $370,215 for the project entitled BISCAYNE WEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4390 in BISCAYNE WEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT II-4390, namely (BID "A" HIGHWAYS) of Proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. The amount of $370,215 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Highway Bond Funds" to cover the proposed cost of the Contract. u UppoRTIVE DOCUMENTS FOLLOW Section 3. The additional amount of $37,723.65 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces. Section 4. The additional amount of $5,404.35 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such items as Advertising, Testing Laboratories and Postage. Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Contract on behalf of the City of Miami with Williams Paving Co., Inc. for the construction of BISCAYNE WEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4390 (BID "A" HIGIWAYS) in BISCAYNE WEST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4390 (BID "A" HIGHWAYS).
