Improvements to the Planning
Department's Organizations and
Management Systems-Booz, Allen
& Hamilton, Inc. Report
As a continuation of the evaluation of City organization
that has been going on for a number of year by the Booz,
Allen & Hamilton, Inc. Management Consultants, the latter
part of last year it was requested that a review of the
Planning Department be done. In February of 1976, a task
plan was devised which was to commcnc,:? in Juut' of '76 to
review the Planning Department's organization and manage-
ment systems. This program has progressed to the point
where we wish to present it to you with the recommendations
for the above -mentioned improvements.
Representatives of the Booz, Allen firm will make themselves
available to present the essence of their findings and their
recommendations. I suggest this take place at the next Com-
mission meeting.
