Chief of pollee
Complainant Mr. Jon Carlton
In response to Mr. C. Eads, Jr. letter, dated July 6, 1976,
to Mr. Jon Carlton, requesting a meeting to discuss his
concern, the following information was obtained.
On Tuesday, July 27, 1976, Mr. Jon Carlton of Carlton
Realty was contacted reference his letter to the City Manager
requesting to appear before the City Commission. Mr.
Carlton was very emphatic that he doesn't want to talk to
anyone else, he doesn't want any explanations of why or
how the costs were determined nor does he wish to explain his
position to several different people prior to appearing before
the City Commission. All he wants is an audience before the
City Commission to express his feelings of an unfair burden
imposed on the public by the Commissioners in the form of
an extreme increase in cost of police reports.
All efforts to offer an explanation were cut short by Mr.
Carlton because he feels that since the City Commissioners
voted and passed the ordinance only they can rescind it.
Mr. Carlton feels that he has made a formal request to
appear before the City Commission and it is his position
that he will not accept anything less.
