WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice sealed bids were received August 3, 1976 for furnishing 680 pairs of Fire Fighter's Gloves for the Fire Department; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 17 potential suppliers and 2 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in 1975-1976 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds; and WHEREAS, these gloves, a replacement purchase, are used as safety equipment by the firemen during their fire fighting operations; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Fire Department recommend that the hid from Safety Equipment Company of Florida be accepted as it is the most advantageous bid to the City, at a total cost of $6,392; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF !N lEY THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: r ./) IT: ; Section 1.
