RESOLUTION NO. 76-796
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS
TO TAKE PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 23, 1976 AND
OCTOBER 14, 1976 ON THE PROPOSED APPROPRIA-
TIONS ORDINANCE OF THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR OCTOBER 1, 1976 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1977.
WHEREAS, the Director of the Downtown Development
Authority on the 9th day of September, 1976 submitted to the
City Commission the Budget Estimate of the expenditures and
revenues of the Downtown Development Authority for the ensuing
fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, by law,provision must be made for public
hearings on the proposed appropriation ordinance before,the
Commission sitting as a committee of the whole;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The dates for public hearings on the
proposed appropriation ordinance of the Downtown Development
Authority of the City of Miami for the fiscal year October 1,
1976 to September 30, 1977 shall be held before the Commission
of the City of Miami, Florida, in the City Commission Room,
First Floor, Miami City Hall, 3500
Key, Miami, Florida at meetings to
Pan American Drive, Dinner
be held at A.M.
on September 23, 1976 and October 14, 1976 at

Subject: Proposed 1976/77 Budget, Downtown Development Authority
Enclosed you will find two copies of the :1976/77 Budget of the
Downtown Development Authority, a certified copy of Resolution
No. 76-]0 reflecting adoption of the Budget by the Board and the
request that the City Commission establish public hearings on the
Budget, approving the Budget and establishing a millage rate to
support the Uudget,
I am also enclosing for your tiles; three copies of the proposed
Budget, prepared on the City of Miami Forts, in accordance with
usual operating procedure. Conies of Budget information and a
certified copy o' Resolution 7G 10 have been provided the Mayor.,

I am advised by the Agenda Clerk that the first reading has been
scheduled for. the September 9th meeting of the Commission. The
second reading is now scheduled for October 14th, after such
public advertising as may be required. Please advise when the date
for the second reading is confirmed.
