RESOLUTION NO. 76-794
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, THROUGH THE
MANPOWER PLANNING CONSORTIUM OF DADE AND
MONROE COUNTIES, AMENDING THE AGREEMENT
APPROVED I3Y CITY OF MIAMI RESOLUTIONS NO.
75-234 AND 75-1148 BY INCREASING TIIE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF THE SUBJECT CONTRACT TO $4,133,140.00
AND MAKING TIIE TIME OF PERFORMANCE EFFECTIVE
FROM JANUARY 10, 1975 THRU JUNE 30, 1976.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has operated a Temporary Public
Service Jobs Program under

WHEREAS, the City of Miami is

Department of Labor funds covering the entire period that the

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C �MI S
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby author-
ized to execute an agreement with Metropolitan Dade County,
,through the Manpower Planning Consortium of Dade and
Counties, amending the agreement approved by City of
Resolutions No. 75-234 and 75-1148 by increasing the

This Agreement will amend a contract, entered into by and between
Dade County, on behalf of the Manpower Planning Consortium for Dade
and Monroe Counties, and THE CITY OF MIMI, FLORIDA XXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ,
pursuant to Title VI of the Comprehensive Emploiment and Training
Act of 1973 (CETA). Said contract was approved by Resolution No.
R-257-76 , adopted on March 2 , 197 6 .

The purpose of this Agreement is to amend the above mentioned
contract, to reflect the following changes:
ARTICLE Il is hereby amended by inserting the CETA Project Operating
Plan Form, marked Exhibit A, in the place and stead of the CETA Operating
Plan Form which presently appears as part of Article II. Article II
shall be further amended by inserting the attached Budget Application
Summary Form, marked Exhibit C, in the place and stead of the Budget
Application Summary Form which presently appears as part of Article II.
ARTICLE III - TIME OF PERFORMANCE shall now read:
• This Contract shall become effective upon execution by the County
Manager, on behalf of Metropolitan Dade County, as of the loth day of
January, 1975; the services of the Contractor are. to commence as soon
as practicable after the effective date, and shall be completed, in
light of the purposes of this Contract, no later than the 30th day of
June, 1976.
ARTICLE IV - COMPENSATION AND METHOD OF PAYMENT
C. Maximum Compensation shall now read:
The Contractor agrees to accept as full payment for services render-
ed, in a manner satisfactory to the OMPC, the lesser of the following:
(1) the amount of $4,133,140.00, OR, (2) the amount of cash expenditures
made by the Contractor for purposes of carrying out the services here-
under. It is expressly understood and agreed that in no event shall
the total compensation to be reimbursed hereunder exceed the maximum
sum of FOUR MILLION, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY THREE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED
FOURTY AND 00/100 DOLLARS.

ENCLOSURES
The attached Resolution authorizes the execution of an amendment to the contract
of the CETA, Title VI, Temporary Public Service Jobs Program. This Program was
operated by the City of Miami, from January 10, 1975 until June 30, 1976.
During the aforementioned period of time, the total amount of compensation
allocated to the City equalled $4,133,140.00. This amendment, then, properly
reflects the actual amount of funds provided during the total time that the
Program was in operation.
