RESOLUTION NO. 76-731
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE SUM OF $50,000
FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND —UNALLOCATED
FUNDS; AND AUTHORIZING SUCH SUM TO BE EXPENDED
BY THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING FOR
PROPOSED IMPROVEPMENTS TO THE OLYMPIA BUILDING,
AT 174 EAST FLAGLER STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Olympia Building at 174 East Flagler
Street, Miami, Florida, is owned by the City of Miami, which
has the responsibility to perform capital improvements required
by the City Building Code; and
WHEREAS, the operation and management of the aforesaid
building is the responsibility of the Off -Street Parking Authority
Board; and
WHEREAS, the cost of required improvements to several
floors of the Olympia Building is estimated to be approximately
$135,000 and these improvements can be scheduled to be accomplished
in several phases under contracts to be awarded and administered
by the Off -Street Parking Authority Board; and
WHEREAS, the first phase of these improvements costing
approximately $50,000 should he initiated immediately and funds
for this phase are currently available for allocation from the
Capital Improvement Funds --Unallocated Funds; and
WHEREAS, the remaining $85,000 required for the balance
of the work can be programmed for allocation during the 1977-78
fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The sum of $50,000 is hereby allocated
from the Capital Improvement Fund —Unallocated Funds and such
sum is authorized to he expended by the Department of Off -Street
Parking for proposed improvements to the Olympia Building at
174 East Flagler Street, Miami, Florida.

Section 2. It is the intent of the City Commission
tO allocate the remaining $85,000 during the 1977-78 fiscal
year.
