WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
;L deived May 12, 1976 for furnishing irrigation supplies for
Pern Isle Park for the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-two (32)
potential suppliers and six (6) bids were received as per
the attached tabulation; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1972 Park and Re-
creation Facilities Bond Fund; and
WHEREAS, the materials covered in the bids are to be
used in the installation of the irrigation system at the Park,
and this was a re -bid based on recommendations from the
Purchasing Agent to use PVC pipe (polyvinylchloride) instead
of previously specified galvanized iron which will result in
a savings of $6,732.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Parks and Recreation
Department recommend that the irrigation system supplies and
materials bids most advantageous to the City are those listed
on the attached SCHEDULE OF ACCEPTED BIDS;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bids for furnishing irrigation
systems supplies for Fern Isle Park at a total cost of $15,374.52
from the firms listed on the attached SCHEDULE OF ACCEPTED
BIDS, attached hereto and made a part hereof, at the individual
unit prices shown on said Schedule for the particular number
of specific items shown on said Schedule, be and the same are
hereby accepted with funds therefor being hereby allocated
from the 1972 Parks ay Recreation Facility Bond Fund.

Pursuant to Public , otice, sealed bids were received :-lay 12, 197G
