RESOLUTION NO. 76-721
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED FROM
NINETEEN (19) SUPPLIERS OF VEHICLE PARTS AND
ACCESSORIES FOR FURNISHING VEHICLE PARTS AND
ACCESSORIES FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
PROPERTIES, FOR ONE (1) YEAR FROM DATE OF AWARD,
TO BE USED BY THE GARAGE AND MOTOR POOL DIVISIONS;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO PURCHASING CONTRACTS WITH THESE SUPPLIERS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF SAID MATERIAL, AS NEEDED, AT A TOTAL
ANNUAL COST NOT TO EXCEED $240,000.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were
received June 21, 1976, for furnishing vehicle parts and accessor-
ies as needed on a contract basis for one (1) year from date of
award for use by the Public Properties Department; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-one (31)
potential suppliers and nineteen (19) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Department of Public
Properties recommend that it would he advantageous for the City
to enter into annualcontracts for the purchase of said parts
in order to maintain stockrooms and shops to serve City vehicles
and to insure minimum down time in order to return equipment
to service as quickly as possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF

teen (19) suppliers for the purpose of said material as needed with the
total annual cost therefor not to exceed $240,000.

It is more advantageous for the City to enter into.annual
