FOR FURNISHING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTIES WITH TWO DODGE DARTS AT A TOTAL COST OF $7,318.82; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $3,659.41 FROM "PUBLIC PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND" AND THE AMOUNT OF $3,659.41 FROM "CONVENTION BOND FUND"; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE T EPART- M C UPpORT1V EMENTCTOYISSUECER PURCHASESTRUCT ORDERSTHE FORPTHISASING EQUIPIMENT. DOCUMENTS FOLLOW" WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received March 15, 1976 for furnishing passenger cars, light trucks and other vehicles for the Department of Public Properties; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 58 suppliers and 15 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds have been allocated from the "Convention Bond Fund" in the amount of $3,659.41 and from the "Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" in the amount of $3,659.41; and WHEREAS, these vehicles are to be used by the Project Director for the Convention Center and the Project Direc 'DOCUMENT SEX for Watson Island; and �' , WHEREAS, the City Manager and the DIENO. ep rtme nt of Public Properties recommend that the bid received from Colonial Dodge, Inc. for furnishing 2 Dodge Darts at a total cost of $7,318.82 be accepted as it is the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received from Colonial Dodge, Inc. for furnishing the Department of Public Properties with 2 Dodge Darts at a total cost of $7,318.82 is hereby accepted. Section 2. WHEREAS, Motion 75-1047, dated November 6, 1975 authorized the City Manager to proceed with the process of ' solicitng for proposals for the development of Watson Island in accordance with the process, concept, and guidelines presented to the City Commission on November. 6, 1975; and WHEREAS the sum of $475,000 is available from the Public Parks and Recreation Facilities Bond Fund; and WHEREAS, these funds will be used for pre- lirninary studies, surveys, ' •engineering activities, economic studies, • salaries ,Lnd 'admlalsl:I:aL.ive.'• costs, in accordance with the aforesaid Motion; /COW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF fI II, FLORIDA: Section 1.
