A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF ORLANDO
MENDEZ, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $116,900
FOR WAINWRIGIIT PARK - DEVELOPMENT - 1975;
ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $116,900 FROM THE
ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL
FACILITIES BOND FUND" TO COVER THE PROPOSED
CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT
THE SUM OF $12,859 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT
EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT
OF $2,338 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS
ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE;

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received June 9, 1976
for the WAINWRIGHT PARK - DEVELOPMENT - 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $116,900
bid of Orlando Mendez, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid
and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm;
and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the account entitled "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
BOND FUND" for the proposed amount of the contract, for
project expense, and for such items as advertising, testing
laboratories and postage;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF

THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
ITEM NO.
Section 1. The June 9, 1976 bid of Orlando '4endez,
Inc. in the proposed amount of $116,900 for the project
entitled WAINt4RIGIHT PARK - DEVELOPMENT - 1975, namely Base
Bid plus all Additive Items of Proposal, is hereby accepted
at the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $116,900 is hereby
allocated from the account entitled "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREA-
TIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND" to cover the proposed cost of
the contract.

Section 3. The amount of $12,859 is hereby allocated
ftOM the aforesaid account to cover the cost of project expense
Which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed
by City Forces.
Section 4. The amount of $2,338 is hereby allocated
from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such items as
advertising, testing laboratories and postage.
Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with Orlando
Mendez, Inc. for the WAINRIGHT PARK - DEVELOPMENT - 1975.
