RESOLUTION NO. 76-716
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID OF WEBB GENERAL
CONTRACTING, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $185.698.00
FOR VELODROME - 1976 (2ND BIDDING); ALLOCATING
THE AMOUNT OF $185,698.00 FROM THE ACCOUNT
ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
BOND FUND" TO COVER THE PROPOSED CONTRACT COST;
ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF
$20,426.78 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE;
ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF
$3,713.22 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS
ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE;
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT
TO ISSUE A SPECIAL BUILDING PERMIT WITH FINAL
APPROVAL OF SAID PROJECT CONDITIONED UPON
CONSTRUCTION OF A COMFORT STATION AND PARKING
FACILITIES; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received June 16, 1976 for the
construction of the VELODROME - 1976 (2ND BIDDING); and
WHEREAS, The City Manager reports that the $185,698.00
bid of Webb General Contracting, Inc., is the lowest responsible
bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund"
for the proposed amount of the contract, for project expense, and
for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THF COMMISSION OF THE
DOCUMENT INDEX

Section 1. The June 16, 1976, bid of Webb Genera l
Contracting, Inc., in the proposed amount of $185,698.00 for the
project entitled "VELODROME - 1976 (2ND BIDDING), namely Bid "B"
of proposal, based on lump sum bid, be and the same is hereby
accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $185,698.00 be and is hereby
allocated from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational
Facilities Bond Fund" to cover the proposed cost of the contract.
Section 3. The amount of $20,426.78 be and is hereby
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of project

ekpense, which includes engineering, surveys and inspection Work
performed.
Section 4. The amount of $3,713.22 be and is hereby
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such
items as advertising, testing laboratories, postage.
Section S. The Building Department is hereby authorized
and directed to issue a building permit allowing commencement of
construction upon said project with final approval of the project
conditioned upon satisfactory construction of a required comfort
station and necessary parking facilities.
Section 6. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with Webb
General Contracting. Inc., for the construction of VELODROME -
1976 (2ND BIDDING).

1976.
