RESOLUTION NO. 76-713
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF METRO
CONTRACTORS CO., INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$7,774 FOR N.E. 83 STREET PAVING PROJECT
B-4397 (2ND BIDDING) ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT
OF $2,332 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "HIGHWAY
BOND FUNDS" TO COVER THE BALANCE OF THE
CONTRACT COST; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID
FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received July 1, 1976 for
the construction of N.E. 83 STREET PAVING PROJECT B-4397
(2ND BIDDING); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $7,774
bid of Metro Contractors Co., Inc. is the lowest responsible
bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm;
and
WHEREAS, the above -named project was formerly a
subdivision and the subdivider was to complete the paving
improvements and the City received a cashier's check to
guarantee the subdivision improvements required by the City
but the subdivision improvements were not completed and bids
were received to do the necessary work; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are not available to com-
plete the necessary improvements and it is necessary to provide
$2,332 from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" for this
work;

OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: ITEM I`a0.Fp
Section 1. The July 1, 1976 bid of Metro Contrac-
tors Co., Inc. in the proposed amount of $7,774 for the pro-
ject entitled N.E. 83 STREET PAVING PROJECT B-4397 (2ND BIDDING),
namely, Total Bid of Proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby
accepted at the price stated therein.

Section 2. The amount of $2,332 is hereby allo-
cated from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" to cover
the balance of the contract cost not funded by the subdivider.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with
Metro Contractors Co., Inc. for the construction of N.E. 83
STREET PAVING PROJECT B-4397 (2ND BIDDING).
