INDEX ITEM NO. 17 WHEREAS, sealed bids were received June 9, 1976 for FLAGLER STREET MIGEWAY IMPROVEMENT II-4372 AND FLAGLER STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT EXTENSION H-4391; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $536,237.50 bid of C. A. Davis, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid: for Base Bid and Alternate Items ;;3, 4, 13, 14, 15 and 13 of Proposal, and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the accounts entitled: "Highway Bond Funds" and "Storm Sewer Bond Funds"; NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH2 COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. The June 9, 1976 bid of C. A. Davis, InC. in the amount of $536,237.50 for the project entitled FLAGLER STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT :-I-4372 AND FLAGLER STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT EXTENSION H-4391, namely Base Bid and Alternate Items #,3, 4, 13, 14, 15 and 18 of Proposal, based on unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. (a) The amount of $373,092.60 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Highway Bond Fund" to cover the highway portion of the contract cost for FLAGLER STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT I-:-4372. (b) The additional amount of $34,040.19 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense, which includes engineering, surveys, and inspection work performed by City Forces. (c) The additional amount of $4,461.21 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage. (d) The amount of $32,397.50 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund" to cover the storm sewer portion of the contract cost. (e) The amount of $3,563.72 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense, which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces. (f) The amount of $647.78 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage. (b) The additional amount of $9,847.44 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense, which includes engineering, surveys, and inspection work performer; by City Forces. (c) The additional amount of $335.66 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage. (d) The amount of $13,952.50 is hereby allocated from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Fund" to cover the storm sewer portion of the contract cost. (e) The amount of $1,534.78 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project Expense, which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces. (f) The amount of $279.72 is hereby allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such items as advertising, testing laboratories and. postage. Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with C. A.
