New Miami. Edison Senior High School -
Street Closing
Pursuant to out conversation with Mr. flays this is to request that we he allowed
to address the City Commissioners at their meeting on July 1, 1976. Our purpose
is to seek their approval of the closing of that portion of N W. 5th Avenue which
lies between N.W. 60 and N.W. 62 Streets, subject to approval of Tentative Plat
No. 965 "Edison School Site Addition No. One" by the Planning and Zoning Board on
July 12, 1976, and the Commission on July 22, 1976.
This portion of N.W. 5th Avenue bisects the new Miami Edison Senior High School
Site. In order to comply with the Court Order regarding a portion of the land
acquired by HUD for the new school it is necessary to start construction immed-

view and hearing process which is currently underway.
If for any reason the Plat does not receive final approval the School. Administra-
tion would restore the street to its former condition. Thank you for your coop-
eration in resolving this problem.
