Manager, City of Miami

Dear Mr. Andrews:
The Miami Herald again
"Q ! n r1 TIVE
FL O L.... L_;.IN
this year will hold its main activity
for the Lend -A -Hand Fund at Marine Stadium, scheduled Saturday
July 3, 0:00 p.m.
The Show will include a medley of traditional music by the
Greater Miami Philharmonic's "Sounds Since '76" with Frederick
Fennel conducting; a complete water ski show from Florida Cypress
Gardens; capped by a gala fireworks display.
At this writing we have met all requirements of the City, in-
cluding necessary applications and liability coverage.
Because of the charitable nature of this venture, we again are
requesting rent-free consideration from the City. The Herald,
through its Lend -A -Hand Fund, would pay all personnel and ancil-
lary charges incurred at the event.
At your convenience, would you advise me whether the City is
in a position to waive Stadium rental for this event, which is
intended to generate funds to benefit the less fortunate in
our area?
Best wishes,
•
