THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLCRIBA.
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Cff-Street Parking Board due to
the resignation of Mr. A. T. Beckwith whose resignation was acceoted by the
Off -Street Parking ''oard; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to fill this vacancy for an unexpired
term of office ending Decemher 2, 1977; and
WHEREAS, Dianne Smith, one of the most rapidly rising associates
in the Keyes Company, was appointed hy the Off -.Street Parking oard at their
June 4, 197(, meeting by their ^esolution No. 76-530; and
Wi;ERLAS, :ors. Smith is accuaintcd with Miami's growth and has in..
terested herself in community af`a'rs; and
WI1ED7,AS, Mrs. Smith is a r.raduatc of Xavier College in New Orleans,
with a hachelor's degree in secondary education; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith is extremely interested in the Downtown Miami
area and is on t!,e Downtown Advisory Council of the Downtown Y.W.C.A., and is
an active mem5er of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church at Northwest 14th
Avenue and 1 7 th Street; and
W;!E'?EAS, Mrs. Smith is on the Advisory Board of the Council for
Continuing Education of Women and is president of the panel of American pEX

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith is familiar with parking proh1ems in the com-
munity, is an outstanding citizen of exemplary character, and it will be in
the best interests of the City of Miami that this appointment be confirmed:
