RESOLUTION NO. 76-607
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND ELECTING JOSEPH
GRASSIE AS CITY MANAGER nF MIAMI, FLORIDA,
EFFECTIVE 5:00 P.M. ON JULY 30, 1976; AT AN
ANNUAL SALARY OF $47,000 AND A PERSONAL
EXPENSE ALLOWANCE OF $2,500 PER YEAR; PROVID-
ING FOR A VACATION OF 30-WORKING DAYS PER YEAR;
12 DAYS ANNUAL SICK LEAVE; REIMBURSEMENT FOR
THE COST OF MEMBERSHIP FEE IN ONE LOCAL PROFES-
SIONAL EXECUTIVE CLUB; AND REI"1BURSEMENT FOR
THE ACTUAL MOVING EXPENSES INCURRED IN MOVING
FROM GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN TO MIAMI, FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMIk FLORIDA:
Section 1. JOSEPH GRASSIE is hereby appointed and
elected as City Manager of the City of Miami, Florida, effective
5:00 P.M. on July 30, 1976.

Section 2. The salary of the City Manager of the City
of Miami, Florida is hereby authorized and established at $47,000
per year with a personal expense allowance of $2,500 per year.
Section 3. The City Manageris hereby entitled to a
vacation of 30-working days per year. In the event the City
Manager attends professional seminars or special conferences of a
professional nature during his vacation, he will be reimbursed
for the cost of such seminar or conference and for his travel,
meal and lodging expenses. In addition, the City Manager is
hereby entitled to 12-days annual sick leave, but will not
receive time off for his birthday and for the personal day leave
afforded all other City employees. Further, the City Manager
is hereby entitled to be reimbursed for the cost of membership
fee in one local professional executive club, such as the
Standard Club of Miami, Florida.
Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to be
reimbursed for the actual moving expenses incurred in moving his
household from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Miami, Florida, as
govdrhod by commercial carrier tariffs,
