HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-76-0583SAPS RE9OLUP1ON NO. 7S-533 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN hNCREASE IN THE SCOPE OP THE MIAMI MODERN POLICE DEPARTMENT HEADQUARTERS BUILDING CONTRACT 8Y 430,000 AND TRANSFERRING FUNDS PROM THE INCIDENTAL ACCOUNT ESTABLISHED IN THE ORIGINAL ALLOCATION FOR THIS PROJECT. WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the scope of the existing contract for the Miami Modern Police Department Head- quarters Building in order to accomplish certain remaining work; and WHEREAS, the existing Police Firing Range has certain acoustical problems; and WHEREAS, it is is estimated that $20,000 will be needed to correct these deficiencies; and WHEREAS, other minor corrections may be necessary to complete the building; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED Wm: COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, VL ORIDA t Section 1. That the scope of the Miami Modern Police Department Headquarters Building contract is increased by $30,000. Section 2. That $30,000 is transferred from the existing funds in the incidental account established for this project for the contract. Section 3. Only one problem exists and that has to do with the.acoustics in the firing ra~: In order to correct this problem it will. be necessary to do some extensive work so that sounds from the firing ranv will be insulet;ed from the rest of the building, particularly the floor directly above.
