Mayor Ferre hes requested that we submit this list to receive a
commendation from the City of Miami for assistance in the 1976
legislative session. The following names end organisations
represent the chief movers and supporters of House Joint Resolu-
tion No. 3982 and Senate Joint Resolution No. 1301 and should be
included on the City of Miami Resolution of Commendation. This
list hes been reviewed by Rick Sisser, lobbyist for the City of
Miami, and found to be complete in his opinion.

CONPtRM/NG THE JOINT AGREEMENT AND PROJECT PROPOSAL i3ETNEN THE
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA AND THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON THE
GENERAL FINANCIAL PLAN AS PRIMARILY ADOPTED BY CITY COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 76-617 (ATTACHED HERETO) AND THE PROPOSED ROUTE
ALIGNMENT INCLUDING STATION LOCATIONS FAR THE DOWNTOWN MIAMI PEOPLE
MOVER PROJECT AS PR/MARILY ADOPTED BY CITY COMMISSION RESOLUTION
076-616 (ATTACHED HERETO) AND AS FURTHER MODIFIED AT THE PUBLIC
HEARING OF JUNE 25, 1976, AND FURTHER AGREEING TO THE 2•STAGE
IMPLEMENTATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PEOPLE MOVER PROJECT
AS FOLLOWS:
A. STAGE 1 CALLING POR CONSTRUCTION OF 3.3 MILES INCLUDING
THE ENTIRE SYSTEM PLAN LESS .4 MILES WHICH IS THE EAST -WEST
PORTION OF THE LOOP AT NORTH 5TH STREET LINKING THE NORTH -SOUTH
ALIGNMENT WITH THE GOVERNMENT CENTER STATION, AT A TOTAL PROPOSED
CAPITAL COST OF $73,839,000 OF WHICH THE URBAN MASS TRANSPORTATION
ADMINISTRATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WOULD FUND
$58,110,000, THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND DADE
COUNTY WOULD UTILIZE FEDERAL URBAN SYSTEM FUNDS TO DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCT THE MIAMI RIVER BRIDGE STRUCTURE IN THE AMOUNT OF
$950,000, THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WOULD CONTRIBUTE
$7,389,000, METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY WOULD CONTRIBUTE $3,695,000,
THE CITY OF MIAMI WOULD CONTRIBUTE $2,217,000 AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR
WOULD CONTRIBUTE $1,478,000:
B. STAGE 2 CALLING FOR CONSTRUCTION FOR THE AFORESAID .4 MILES
AT A TOTAL PROPOSED CAPITAL COST OF $9.4 MILLION, OF WHICH U.M.T.A.
WOULD FUND $7,520,000, FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WOULD
CONTRIBUTE $940,000, METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY WOULD CONTRIBUTE
$470,000, THE CITY OF MIAMI WOULD CONTRIBUTE $202,000 AND THE
PRIVATE SECTOR WOULD CONTRIBUTE $186,000, WIZN THE TOTAL PROPOSED
CAPITAL COST OF BOTH STAGES OF THE PROJECT PROPOSAL AMOUNTING TO
