ilEFERENCtS: Agenda Item #20.
tNCLOSURES:
At the May 13 meeting the City Commission confirmed by
resolution the action taken by the City Manager in sub-
mitting three grant applications for Child Day Care
Parent Training, Recreation Programs for Mentally Retarded
Adults and Community Retardation Services. During the
discussion following this, it was requested that the
Handicapped Program Coordinator appear at the May 27
meeting to give a status report of the various handicapped
programs the City of Miami is presently conducting.
Personnel conducting the Handicapped Recreation Programs
are supervised by Max Forman, Handicapped Recreation
Program Coordinator. Although the Handicapped Program
is funded entirely through State grants and Revenue
Sharing, this function is assigned to the Department of
Parks and Recreation. Mr. Albert H. Howard, Director of
that department, will introduce Mr. Max Forman, Program
Coordinator, to make the status report.
