IN THE AMOUNT OF $185,000 FOR THE BELCHER PROPERTY y PARK DEVELOPMENT; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $185,000 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "PUBLIC PARKS & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND" TO COVER THE PROPOSED CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $20,350 TO COVER THE COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $3,700 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received May 12, 1976 for the BELCHER PROPERTY - PARK DEVELOPMENT; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $185,000 bid of Ebsary Foundation Co. is the lowest respon- sible bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" for the amount of the contract, for project expense, and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION "DOCUMENT,JNDEX ITEM NO. Section 1. The May 12, 1976 bid of Ebsary ft tion Co. in the amount of $185,000 for the project entitled BELCHER PROPERTY - PARK DEVELOPMENT, namely Base Bid plus Additive Items 1 and 2 of the Proposal, based on lump sum bid is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. Additive Item #1, which is the installa- tion of 6-7 Pile Dolphins (Fender Pile Clusters), is included in this contract subject to the issuance of a permit from the State and Federal Regulatory Agencies. Section 3. The amount of $185,000 is hereby allo- cated from the account entitled "Public Parks & Recreational Facilities Bond Fund" to cover the cost of the contract. • Section 4, The amount of $200350 is hereby alio.. dated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of project expense which includes engineering, surveys and inspection work performed by City Forces. Section 5, The amount of $3)700 is hereby allo- cated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage. Section 6. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with Ebsary Foundation Co. for the BELCHER PROPERTY - PARK DEVELOP- MENT.
