EXECUtIVE bIRECtOR
_ Enclosed is the information pertaining to our project. We would like to use Legion Park
as our sitefor the bazaar and picnic, because of its ideal location., We hope to set up
15 to 20 booths to display our arts and crafts. It is intended that all retarded citizens -
all agencies serving the retarded and Special Education Division of the School Board be
involved with this project.
The idea behind the whole project is to let the community know that the retarded individua
knows that this is our bicentennial year, and wants to be involved in community events.
We plan on selling the items by donations only. We also, plan on selling cold drinks.
We have a possibility of food from some food chains, being donated (we also hope to have
a cake booth). If, this materializes, we hope to make this available to the public and
sell these items also. We are planning entertainment, performed by the retarded. We are
handicapped, because we do not have definite confirmation for a lot of the above mentioned
things, but it is our sincere hope that we can at least, begin our project with a confirm-
ation from you saying we definitely can count on the use of the park. We are really
anxious to begin our project. Our application has been mailed to Ms. Goldie LeWinter.
Because of your past kindnesses, we are again, imposing on your generosity and asking if
you can help us obtain the use of the park and ask if there is any possibility of the
fee for insurance which we were told is $35, could be handled without our appearing
before the Commission.
Anything you can do to help us in this venture, wo 1d1be appreciated.
forward to hearing from you. NP

Sincerely yours,
MAGTOWN
