HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-76-0497RFC/rb 5/11/76 RESOLUTION NO. 76=497 A RESOLUTION WAIVING PAYMENT OF POOL ADMISSION FEES TO ALL CITY SWIMMING POOLS BETWEEN DUNE 14, 1976 AND SEPTEMBER 6, 1976 INCLUSIVE BY PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS WHO ARE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI. WHEREAS, the Community Relations Board of Metro- politan Dade County has requested that the City again waive the payment of admission fees to City swimming pools by children during the Summer months; and WHEREAS, the City Commission agrees that the privilege of engaging in the wholesome activity of swimming should be enjoyed by as many young City residents as possible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Payment of admission fees to all City swimming pools between June 14, 1976 and September.6, 1976, inclusive, by persons underthe age of 18 years who are residents of the City of Miami is hereby waived. You will remember that the Commission, at the request of CRB, waived them last year. The Board hopes the same action can be taken by the Commission this year. The Board members chosen to appear in this matter before the Commission are Messrs. Nathaniel Powell, Garth Reeves, Jr. and Allan Margolis.
