A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE
ACTION TAKEN BY THE CITY MANAGER IN THE
SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE
STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES, RETARDATION
PROGRAM OFFICE, FOR RECREATION PROGRAMS
FOR MENTALLY RETARDED ADULTS, AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE GRANT
AND EXECUTE THE NECESSARY CONTRACTS AND
AGREEMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM UPON
RECEIPT OF THE GRANT,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The action taken by the City Manager
in the submission of a Grant application to the State of
Florida, Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services,
Retardation Program Office, for Recreation Programs for
Mentally Retarded Adults is hereby ratified and approved.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to accept the Grant and execute the necessary contracts
and agreements to implement the program upon receipt of the
Grant.
