ENCLOSURt5:
At the January 8, 1976 meeting, the City Commission adopted Res. No. 76-20
transferring funds in the total amount of $4, 598. 00 for equipment purchases
from the equipment expenditure codes of various departmental budgets into
the equipment expenditure code of the City Manager's budget. The purpose
of this transfer was to accomplish the changeover from 4-drawer to 5-drawer
legal files and replacement of existing executive typewriters with correcting
selectric typewriters in the Manager's office. Upon receipt of this equipment
the 4-drawer file cabinets and IBM executive typewriters would be transferred
to those departments involved.
Subsequent to the decision made to transfer funds for these equipment 'purchases
but prior to Commission action adopting Resolution No. 76-20, purchase orders
had been issued by the Planning Department and the Law Department for the
filing cabinets in question. It has also been determined that $565. 00 instead
of $585.00 is the amount actually budgeted in the Civil Service expenditure
code for a typev:'riter. —
PILE:
It is therefore necessary to amend Resolution No. 76-20 to eliminate the
transfer of funds from the Planning Department in the amount of $342.00
and from the Law Department in the amount of $342. 00, and reducing the
transfer from the Civil Service budget for a typewriter from $585. 00 to
$565. 00.
It is recommended the City Commission adopt the attached resolution amending
Resolution No. 76-20 by reducing the total amount of funds transferred from
$4, 598. 00 to $ 3894. 00.

ENCLOSURES
During fiscal year 1974-75, the City Commission appropriated
Federal Revenue Sharing funds for specified purposes by
Ordinance No. 8305, as amended.
Upon the adoption of the Federal Revenue Sharing Ordinance
appropriating funds for all programs, we recognized that certain
programs would be carried on for longer than a one-year period.
Due to Charter requirements and the Ordinance appropriating funds
that flow from the Charter, it is necessary to reappropriate
funds for those programs that require in excess of one year to
carry out.
It is recommended that those programs which fall into the
S2,067,096.13 that are further identified in the attached Ordinance
be reappropriated in the departments previously designated for the
purpose of keeping expenditures the same as previously approved
with the following exceptions:
Fi re Department
The balance of 52,300 remaining in the Rescue Service
and Fire Alarm Service have been added to the Fire
Department equipment replacement account.

Law Enforcement
The funds appropriated will remain in this category
as outlined in the attached Ordinance; however,
adjustments to accommodate the Law Enforcement
objectives are as noted. The funds in the amount
of $26,482.29 from the School Resource Officer
Program have been reallocated to provide the neces-
sary funding needed to carry out the Threshold
Program, which established the Public Service Aides
Program. Other adjustments provide the needed
funding to continue the Police Expansion Program
and provide funding for items not now covered in
the Police Bonds funds.
Public Works
The balance of $3,860.42 remaining in the Street
Lighting and Removal of Blighted Coconut Palms
Program will be used to purchase small miscellaneous
equipment for the Public Works Department.
It is recommended that the Connrnission adopt the attached Ordinance.
