IN THE AMOUNT OF $66,699 FOR THE EDISON PARK/LITTLE RIVER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HIGHWAY PROJECT AN.-. AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE.. (1/ CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. i : ' ° FOLLOW„ WHEREAS, sealed bids were received April 12, 1976 for the construction of EDISON PARK/LITTLE RIVER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HIGHWAY PROJECT, consisting of the construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbing and gutters, sidewalk, drainage system, and grass sodding on N.W. 80th Terrace from North Miami to N.E. 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the "DOCUMEN ' INDEX $66,699 bid of Persant Construction Co., Inc. is the ITEM NO. lowest responsible bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds have been programmed and budgeted under the "Community Development Program" for the proposed amount of the contract, for project expense, and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The April 12, 1976 bid of Persant Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of $66,699 for the project entitled EDISON PARK/LITTLE RIVER COMMUNITY DEVELOP- MENT HIGHWAY PROJECT, namely total bid of proposal, based on unit prices is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. Bids were received April 12, 1976 for the construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbing and gutters, sidewalk, drainage system, and grass sodding on N.W. 80th Ter. from N. Miami to N. E. 2nd Avenue. As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $ 66,699 bid of Persant Construction Co.,Inc.is the lowest responsive bid for Total Bid of the Proposal, based on unit prices. Funds have been programmed and budgeted under the "Community Development Program" for the estimated amount of the Contract, for Project Expense, and for such items as Advertising, Testing Laboratories, Postage, etc. THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS ADOPTION OF THE RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID RECEIVED APRIL 12, 1976 OF PERSANT CONSTRUCTION CO., INC.
