RESOLUTION NO. 767436
A RESOLUTION URGING THE DADE COUNTY COMMISSION
TO IMMEDIATELY PROVIDE INSPECTION FACILITIES
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
MIAM.I FOR THE INSPECTION OF PRIVATE SCHOOL
BUSES THAT ARE USED FOR THE TRANSPORTATION
OF CHILDREN. .
WHEREAS, presently there are hundreds of motor vehicles
engaged in the transportation of school children on a private basis
within the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, there is no facility within the City of Miami
to accomplish the required inspection of these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, a hardship is created on the operators of these
vehicles by the failure of the County to maintain a centrally lo-
cated inspection facility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The County Commission of Dade County is
hereby urged to immediately provide an inspection facility within
the corporate limits of the City of Miami for the required inspec-
tion of those motor vehicles engaged in the transportation of
children to and from school.
