A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF FLORIDA
ECOLOGICAL CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$341,432 FOR BID "1,-C" DELAWARE STORM
SEWER PROJECT 1976; ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT
OF $341,432 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "STORM
SEWER BOND FUNDS" TO COVER THE COST OF THE
CONTRACT; ALLOCATING FROM SAID ACCOUNT THE
AMOUNT OF $37,557.52 TO COVER THE COST OF
PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM SAID
ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $6,828.48 TO COVER
THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING,
TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on April 8,
1976 for the construction of BID "1-C" DELAWARE STORM SEWER
PROJECT - 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the
$341,432 bid of Florida Ecological Corporation is the
lowest
awarded to said firm; and
responsible bid and recommends that a contract be

WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Funds" for the amount
of the contract;for Project Expense; and for such items as
advertising, testing laboratories, and postage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The April 8, 1976 bid of Florida
Ecological Corporation in the amount of $341,432 for the
project entitled BID "1-C" DELAWARE STORM SEWER PROJECT -
1976, based on unit prices is hereby accepted at the price
stated herein.
Section 2, The amount of $341,432 is hereby
allocated from the account entitled "Storm Sewer Bond Funds"

to cover the proposed cost of the contract,
Section 3, The amount of $37,557,52 is hereby
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of
Project Expense which includes engineering, surveys, and
inspection work performed by City Forces.
Section 4. The amount of $60828.48 is hereby
allocated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of
such items as advertising, testing laboratories, and
postage.
Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami
with Florida Ecological Corporation for BID "l-C" DELAWARE
STORM SEWER PROJECT - 1976.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22 day of APRIL
1976.
