A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF MARKS
BROTHERS COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $382,700
FOR BID "B" OF PROPOSAL FOR THE DELAWARE
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5390 C
(CENTERLINE SEWER) (PUMP STATIONS) IN
DELAWARE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
SR-5390 C (CENTERLINE SEWER); ALLOCATING THE
AMOUNT OF $382,700 FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED
"SANITARY SEWER BOND FUNDS" TO COVER THE
COST OF THE CONTRACT; ALLOCATING FROM SAID
ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $42,097 TO COVER THE
COST OF PROJECT EXPENSE; ALLOCATING FROM
SAID ACCOUNT THE AMOUNT OF $7,654 TO COVER
THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING,
TESTING LABORATORIES AND POSTAGE; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on April 8, 1976
for the construction of BID "B" DELAWARE SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT SR-5390 C (CENTERLINE SEWER) (PUMP STATIONS) in
DELAWARE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5390 C
(CENTERLINE SEWER); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports

bid of Marks Brothers Company is the lowest responsible bid
and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from
the account entitled "Sanitary Sewer Bond Funds" for the
amount of the contract;for Project Expense; and for the
additional cost of such items as advertising, testing
laboratories and postage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The April 8, 1976 bid of Marks
Brothers Company in the amount of $382,700 for the project
entitled BID "B" DELAWARE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5390 C

(CENTERLINE SEWER) (PUMP STATIONS) in DELAWARE SAMITARYt SEWER
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR=5390 C (CENTERLINE SEWERS) based on
lump sum bid is hereby accepted at the price stated herein.
Section 2. The amount of $382,700 is hereby allo-
cated from the account entitled "Sanitary Sewer Bond Funds"
to cover the proposed cost of the contract.
Section 3. The amount of $42,097 is hereby allo-
cated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of Project
Expense which includes engineering, surveys, and inspection
work performed by City Forces.
Section 4. The amount of $7,654 is hereby allo-
cated from the aforesaid account to cover the cost of such
items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage.
Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized
to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with
Marks Brothers Company for BID "B" DELAWARE SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT SR-5390 C (CENTERLINE SEWERS) (PUMP STATIONS)
in DELAWARE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5390 C
(CENTERLINE SEWER).
