A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF PHYSIO-CONTROL
CORP. FOR FURNISHING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH
FOUR BATTERY OPERATED DEFIBRILLATOR CARDIOSCOPES
AND RECORDERS, AT A TOTAL COST OF $17,980;'
ALLOCATING $8,990 FROM 1975-76 FEDERAL REVENUE
SHARING FUNDS AND WITH $8,990 BEING ADVANCED
BY THE CITY PENDING REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE
1975-76 STATE OF FLORIDA EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICE GRANT-IN-AID BY WAY OF REIMBURSEMENT
PURSUANT TO DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA INTERLOCK
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed
were received March 12, 1976 for furnishing four Battery
Operated Defibrillator Cardioscopes and Recorders for the.

WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to

Recorders, at a total cost of $17,980, as it was the most

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The March 12, 1976 bid of Physio-
Control Corp, for furnishing the Fire Department with

for furnishing four (4) Battery Operated Defibrillator Cardioscopes

Invitations were mailed to thirty-six (36) potential suppliers and
four (4) bids were received as follows:

Mark 10 Medical, Inc. of Florida submitted the lowest bid for four (4)
D. C. Defibrillators and did not list any variances to specifications. How-
ever, there are in fact many variances in the Model 600 MRL AMB-PAK
which they intend to furnish. The AMB-PAK does not meet the following
specifications:

delivered discharges or 8 hours ECG monitoring.

6. Must be able to observe scope when carrying unit by hand so operator
can observe EKG at all times.
All Florida Safety was the next lowest bidder, however, they have listed
numerous variances to our specifications for the product they wish to
furnish (Fairfield Cardio-Aid DIM-200). Therefore, their bid is not accept-.
able.
