FOR FURNISHING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH FOUR PORTABLE EKG TELEMETRY MODULATORS, TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS, AT A TOTAL COST OF $12,480; ALLOCATING $6,240 FROM 1975-76 FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS AND WITH $6,240 BEING ADVANCED BY THE CITY PENDING REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE 1975-76 STATE OF FLORIDA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE GRANT-IN-AID BY WAY OF REIMBURSEMENT PURSUANT TO DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA INTERLOCK AGREEMENT. "DOC ii^ill-is' , U'WEX ITEM NO 16 sealed bids or were received March 16, 1976 for furnishing four Portale EKG Telemetry Modulators, Transmitters and Receivers for the Fire Department; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-seven potential suppliers and three bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available, WHEREAS, as follo:qs : pursuant to public notice, one-half from 1975-76 Federal Revenue Sharing Funds and one-half being advanced by the City pending reimbursement from the 1975-76 State of Florida Emergency Medical Service Grant -In -Aid by ;ay of reimursement pur- suant to Dade County, Florida Interlock Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends that the award be made to Motorola C & E Inc. for furnishing four Porta',1e EKG Telemetry Modulators, Transmitters and Receivers, at a total cost of $12,480, as it was the most advantageous hid received by the Cit y% NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Invitations were mailed to thirty-seven (37) potential suppliers and three (3) bids were received as follows: Bidder MDtorola C & E Inc. Biocom, Inc. Pioneer Medical Division Unit Price $3,120.00 4,297.50 4,695.00 Total Price $12,480.00 17,190.00 18,780.00 Funds for this purchase are as follows: One half from Dade County by interlock agreement funds to be advanced by the City and reimbursed from Dade County on Inter- lock Agreerre� nt as expended and approved. One half to be reappropriated from Federal Revenue Sharing Funds. The teleireentary package, rodulator, transmitter and receiver is used by the Rescue Division in emergency rrxdical rescue field oper- ations called "Advanced Life Support". It is requested that the award be made and a resolution be prepared accepting the lowest bid as received from Ectorola C & 13 Inc. for furnishing four (4) EKG Tel.eri n tart' r1ula fors, Transmitters and }Receivers at a total cost of $12,480.00.
