REFERENCE'S:
Customarily, engineering design services for Fu'blie 1~Vorks
- projects embracing sanitary sewers, storm drainage and highway
improvements are provided by the Department of Public tiVorks.
p'or the past several years, these services have been provided
for a nominal amount of lOQfo of the project construction cost.
- To establish approp.-iate charges for both engineering design and
project administration, the fee should be adjusted from 10%n to 11°%.
This will provide proper compensation far the costs invol~"ed as
well as overcome a portion of the current budget deficit being
resolved at this time.
A resolution will be available f.or your consideration adjusting the
project construction amount cltargecl for engineering design services
px•eviously incurred for the sanitary sewer, storm drainage, highway
improvement, Parks and Recreation projects, as well as the Police
facility improvements that were provided by City departments.
