HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-76-0385SAS /rb 4/1/76 RESOLUTION NO._ /.6-5$5......._ A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF $46,054,44 FROM THE PARKS FOR PEOPLE BOND FUND PAYMENT TO THE CONSULTANT, EDWARD D• STONE, JR, & ASSOCIATES, FOR EXTRA DESIGN SERVICES ON BICENTENNIAL PARK. WHEREAS, the Consultant, Edward D. Stone, Jr. & Associates has been authorized in a number of instances to perform Extra Services in accordance with the Extra Services portion of the Original Agreement between the City of Miami and the Consultant, dated June 22, 1973; and WHEREAS, there has never been a Resolution by the City Commission which allocates any funds for professional fees that can be disbursed under the Extra Services portion of their Agreement; and WHEREAS, the following items outline those areas where the Consultant has time charged Extra Services in accordance with the Extra Services portclnott fit, ritititEX ((;� i�►t ITEM N0'�'J' MASTER PLAN REVISIONS: After completion of the Consultant's comprehensive master plan services for the Old Port Property, the City Commission requested the Consultant prepare additional studies of the outdoor restaurant, bike rental, etc. .These were billed as an Extra Service under earlier master plan agreement. Agreement: MAINTENANCE BUILDING: Architectural drawings for 30' x 100' maintenance structure. Authorized by both Mr, Howard's and the City Manager's confirma- tion of Mr. Dickinson's letter dated May 23, 1975, CITY COMMISSM MEETING OF APR a b 1976 PUTIQl1 wrorsassiiaalimEPOPROBRUA�p- SENSORY.._.GARDEN: Plans and specifications for Sensory Garden authorized by Mr, Howard's Con- firmation of Mr. Armbruster's letter dated August 7, 1975. REBIDDING: Revisions to plans and specifications to effect savings after initial bidding. Billing in accordance with the Extra Services section of Original Agreement when bid price is within 10% of budget. Fees expended under this phase resulted in a construction cost saving to the City of $552,863. PERMITS: Assistance to City in securing all permits necessary for park construction. SCULPTURE: Meetings and review with Sculptor, review meetings with Committee and Sculptor to review designs; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the allocation of funds in the amount of $46,054.44; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Funds in the amount of $46,054.44 are hereby allocated from the Parks for People Bond Fund in payment of the Consultant, Edward D.
