RESOLUTION No.76-574
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE
CITY MANAGER IN ENGAGING DR, J. SAWYER TO
ACT AS AN ADVISOR TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE MIAMI CITY GENERAL EMPLOYEES' RETIRE-
MENT PLAN FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING AN
EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR AT A FEE OF $200 PER
MONTH DURING MARCH 1976; AND FURTHER AUTHOR-
IZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENGAGE DR. J. SAWYER FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONDUCTING EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE FISCAL YEAR AT A MAXIMUM
FEE OF $200 PER MONTH, WITH ALL HEREIN

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The action of the City Manager in
approving the engagement of Dr. J. Sawyer to act as an
Advisor to the Board of Trustees of the Miami City General
— Employees' Retirement Plan for tle purpose of conducting
educational seminars during the month of March, 1976 at
a fee of $200 is herey ratified and confirmed with payment
of said $200 eing here?,✓ authorized from funds allocated
from the Miami City General Employees' Retirement Plan Trust
Account.

Dr. Jim Sawyer
The Board of Trustees of the Vtiami City General Employees'
Retirement Plan instructed that I notify the City Commission
that they would like to engage Dr. J. Sawyer to act as an advisor
for the purpose of conducting educational seminars. They request
that the Commission allocate funds for this purpose for the
remainder of this fiscal year, establishing a maximum fee of $200.00
per month.
The Board of Trustees of the Miami City Employees' Retirement System
engaged Dr. Sawyer to meet wih their sub -committee in order to
establish Board goals and objectives. The fee for his services was
$200.00.
Please place the above items on the April 8th Commission Agenda.
