As requested by the City Commission at the March 4th
Commission meeting, Mr. Albert Howard, Director of
Parks and Recreation, along with Mr. Paul Turcotte,
Assistant Director, met with Charles Pifer., Golf.
Course Starter representative.
At this meeting, held Wednesday, March l'7th, Mr. Howard
discussed the actual budget figures showing the existing
golf course expenditures and the proposed budget reductions.
The budget illustrated a savings to the City of approximately
$100, 000 through the elimination of full time Starters at
both City golf courses. The figures have been authenticated
through Expenditure Control and the Budget Department.
Mr, Pifer was in general agreement with the budget as
illustrated by Mr. Howard.
