Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Taravella have filed a claim against the City
of Miami without the assistance of an attorney.
This claim can be settled for property damage, towing, and loss
of use, which should settle in total for approximately $1,500.00.
The accident involved a City of Miami Police car, being operated
with blue lights and siren on, but without being assigned to a
code 3 by the dispatcher. The vehicle ran a red light without
the proper precautions being taken when its front end made contact
with the right front of a vehicle which had a green light.
Liability is considered questionable against the City operator.
The property damage to the claimant vehicle is $1,182.30, and
there is a towing expense of $14.00.
Mr. Taravella received a minor injury to his foot; however, there
is no medical treatment at this point in time.
The property damage and towing claim can be concluded for $1,196.30
which will include a release, presenting any bodily injury claim.
