F'►.1 L LO•Y WHEREAS, bids were received on December 21, 1975 for furnishing fertilizers and chemicals for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bids of Wendel Butler's Supply Co., Southern Mill Creek, Kerr McGee Chemical Co. and Woodbury Chemical, for furnishing said fer- tilizers and chemicals be accepted as the bid most advantageous to the City of Miami; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION, OF THE .,L 'CL t',, t.;°) I\ CITY OF MIAMI , FLORIDA: ITEM N0. Section 1. The bids of Wendel Butler's Supply Co., Southern Mill Creek, Kerr McGee Chemical Co. and Woodbury Chemical received on December 21, 1975, for furnishing fertil- izers and chemicals for use by the Parks and Recreation Depart- ment, in accordance with the Department of Finance January 21, 1976 memorandum (with tabulation attached) made a part hereof by reference, are hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized and directed to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue Purchase Orders therefor. Invitations were mailed to twenty-three (23) potential suppliers and five (5) bids were received as per the attached tabulation. Funds for this purchase is provided in the 1975-76 Fiscal Year Budget. The fertilizers and chemicals are to be used by the Parks Division dur- ing the year in the various parks throughout the City. It is requested that the awards be made and a resolution be prepared accepting the lowest bids as received frail the following companies for furnishing fertilizers and chemicals: Vendor tindel Butler's Supply Co.
