A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK PER-
FORMED BY OVIDIO P. RODRIGUEZ, JR, AT A TOTAL
COST OF $40,576,16 AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAY-
MENT OF $3,877,62 FOR THE PARKS - SHELTERS AND

WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed on
a contract dated August 19, 1975 between the City of Miami
and Ovidio P. Rodriguez, Jr., and Ovidio P. Rodriguez, Jr.
has furnished the required documents certifying that all bills
for labor, materials, etc., have been paid in full in connec-
tion with the aforesaid contract, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that
the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the

CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Ovidio P.
Rodriguez, Jr. for the construction of PARKS - SHELTERS AND
COMFORT STATIONS - 1975 at a total cost of $40,576.16 is hereby
accepted.
Section 2. The proper officials of The City of Miami
be, and they are, authorized and directed to pay Ovidio P.
Rodriguez, Jr., after all conditions are met, a balance of
$3,877.62 as full and final payment for all work performed
and all materials furnished in connection with the construc-
tion of PARKS - SHELTERS AND COMFORT STATIONS - 1975,
PASSED AND ADOPTED to is 25 day"of MARCH , 1976.

Ovidio P. Rodriguez, Jr. has completed the contract for PARK - SHELTERS AND COMPORT STATIONS - 1975
at a• total cost of 00,576.16.
The project consisted of the construction of a comfort
station at Bryan Park and a comfort station and shelter
at Margaret Pac_: Park. After the work had been started
on Bid Item 1, comfort station and shelter at Margaret
Pace Park, the City Manager's Office ordered all work
stopped because of objections by residents in the area.
After a neighborhood meeting held January 12, 1976, the
City Manager's office approved deleting Bid Item 1,
restoring site to original condition, and negotiating
with the contractor for cost of all work done under
Bid Item 1.
It is not; in order for the Commission to accept the
completed work and authorize final payment, after all
conditions are met. The original contract amount was
$78,750. , and it was completed on time.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS THE ADOPTION
OF A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TILE COMPLETED WORK AND
AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $3,877.62 TO OVIDIO P.
RODRIGUEZ, JR. FOR PARKS - SHELTERS & COMFORT STATIONS -
1975.
