This report was prepared by our County Human Resources Department (Model City Program Division) in cooperation with the County and City of Miami Planning Department. It is our desire, and we respectfully request, that the City of Miami Commission transmit this study report to the Planning Advisory Board for the purpose of holding a public hearing thereon under the provisions of the City Ordinance. This document has been approved by the Model City Administering Board after meetings with both staff of the City and County Planning Departments and they agree that the concept of the plan is good and should be moved forward. It has always been our desire and hope to have this plan formally adopted by the City Commission as the official generalized Model City Neighborhood Plan. This plan is responsive to Ordinance No. 75-58 except for zoning recommendations which are presently being reviewed. We request that this report be considered for adoption as the first part of the Model City Neighborhood Study. This report should be viewd as incorporating numerous earlier Model City studies, which included background material for this report, including the following: 1.
