RESOLUTION NO, 767273
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING THE
EXPENDITURE OF AN ADDITIONAL $969,28 FOR
PAYMENT OF NECESSARY PROMOTIONAL EXPENSES
INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE MARATHON
COMMUNITY APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE TO AID THE
VICTIMS OF THE RECENT EARTHQUAKES IN
GUATEMALA, SAID FUNDS TO BE PAID FROM THE
CONTINGENCY FUND OF THE CITY OF MIAMI.
WHEREAS, the Commission of the City of Miami has
authorized the conduct of a marathon community appeal on
behalf of the victims of the recent earthquakes in Guatemala;
and
WHEREAS, said appeal for assistance has been held
a cooperative effort between the City of Miami and Dade County
supported by the communication media of the City and staffed
by numerous volunteers; and
WHEREAS, additional expenses in the amount of $969.28
were incurred in advertising and promoting the marathon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: 'DOCUMENT INDEX

Section 1. An additional sum of $969.28 ia-jd1 t-z-s--
hereby allocated from the contingency fund of the City of
Miami for payment of expenses incurred in promoting the
marathon community appeal for assistance to aid the victims
of the recent earthquakes in Guatemala.
Section 2. The action of the City Manager in
incurring the obligations is hereby approved and ratified.
