FOR FURNISHING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH ONE INFLATED RESCUE CUSHION - LIFE PACK AT A TOTAL COST OF $6,975; ALLOCAT- ING FUNDS FROM THE 1975-76 FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS. ENCLOSURES. Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received December 23, 1975 for furnishing one inflated rescue cushion -life pack for the Fire Departim nt. Invitation were mailed to ten (10) potential suppliers and one (1) bid was received as follows: Biscayne Fire Equipment at $6,975.00. Funds for this purchase are available in Federal Revenue Shar- ing 1975-76. The rescue cushion is used to rescue trapped victims who must jump from upper floors of a building to escape the danger of fire. It is requested that the award be made and a resolution be prepared accepting the bid as received from Biscayne Fire Equipment for furnishing one inflated rescue cushion -life pack at a cost of $6,975.00.
