A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION Greater Miami's Official American Revolution Bicentennial Organi2atiorn Affiliated with the Bicentennial Commission of Florida January 22, 1578 Hon, Maurice Ferre Mayor of Miami p.0. Box 33-0708 Miami, Florida 33133 Dear.Maurice: Last year the Miami City Commission was gracious enough to waive the fee for the Bayfront Auditorium for the Fourth of July Naturalization Ceremony. This Fourth of July, with the country's attention focussing on the Bicentennial, this event can become a major national activity. Third Century has received inquiries from all the major networks and will be negotiating with them for coverage of this unique event. We would like to request that the City Commission waive the fee and any other regulations that would allow the Naturalization Ceremony to occur on the Fourth of July in Bayfront Auditorium at 3:00 in the afternoon. One of the reasons we had to go to the Commission last year was because there was another event in the Auditorium that afternoon or evening, and rules had to be waived for our Ceremony. If that is the case this year, we would also need that assistance. Also, Maurice, we would like you to be our guest and be part of the program for this important event. We anticipate at this time that the keynote address will be given by a national dignitary. In the New Spirit of '76, c eA Norma (Mrs. Richard) Hunt President SDN/cg 3361 S.W.
