HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-76-0213SAS/ts 2/6/76 RESOLUTION NO. 76-215 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TOTAL AND FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,500.00 TO TRAYCOR MARINE FOR SANDBLASTING, REPAIRS, AND RECOAT- ING THE MARINE STADIUM FLOATING STAGE LJ ['PC 7; DOcu M EN rs FOLLOW' WHEREAS, at its November 6, 1975 meeting, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8477 allocating $17,000.00 for repairs to the floating stage at Marine Stadium; and WHEREAS, on November 19, 1975, the Commission adopted Resolution 75-1154, ratifying and confirming the action of the City Manager of entering into a contract with Traycor Marine, in the amount of $11,000.00 for the necessary repairs; and WHEREAS, it was anticipated that further repairs would be necessary, that were not identifiable while the barge was in the water, the estimated cost of these additional repairs having been included in the appropriation in Ordinance No. 8477; and "DOCUMENT NDEX WHEREAS, the contract with Tra yc IT M la -been satisfactorily completed and is within the amount allocated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Total and final payment in the amount of /5 5 cC • of 1-57-000.00 to Traycor Marine for sandblasting, repairs, and recoating the Marine Stadium floating stage is hereby author- ized. REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: At its November 6, 1975 meeting, the Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8477, appropriating $17,000 for necessary repairs and recoating of the floating barge at the Marine Stadium. The necessary work has been completed to the satisfaction of the City, within the amount allocated. The Department of Public Facilities recommends the adoption of the attached resolution, authorizing total and final payment to Traycor Marine, in the amount of $15,500 for the repairs and recoating of the barge.
