A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK PER-
FORMED BY CUYAHOGA WRECKING CORPORATION AT A
TOTAL COST OF $5,833,00 AND AUTHORIZING A
FINAL PAYMENT OF $583,30 FOR THE AFRICAN SQUARE
PROPERTY = DEMOLITION 1974.

Cuyahoga Wrecking
Corporation has furnished the required

documents certifying that all bills for labor, materials,
etc., have been paid in full in connection with the October
14, 1974 contract for demolition work at the AFRICAN SQUARE
PROPERTY - DEMOLITION - 1974, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that
the completed work be accepted and fina,,payment made to the
Contractor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Cuyahoga
Wrecking Corporation for the AFRICAN SQUARE PROPERTY -
DEMOLITION - 1974, at a total cost
accepted.
Section 2. The proper

REFERENCE;
ENCLOSURES.
Cuyahoga. Wrecking Corporation has completed the demolition
of structures on five parcels of land at the site of the
proposed African Square Park which is on the south side of
NW 62 Street between NW 14 and 15 Avenues.
The project originally included the demolition of structures
on seven parcels of land which were to be available to the
contractor prior to April, 1975. Since only one of the
parcels had been obtained and completed by April, 1975 the
contractor agreed to extend his time until the expiration
of his Performance Bond in September, 1975. To date demolition
has been completed on five parcels, four of the original parcels
and one parcel added to replace one of the original parcels
which was deleted by Resolution. Demolition has not been
completed on two remaining parcels because buildings on these
parcels are still occupied. Arrangements are being made to
demolish these a3 soon as they become unoccupied. The
contractor has now exercised his option to close this contract
and request final payment.
The project was completed for $5,833., which was within the
contract amount, and it was completed on time. The original
contract amount was $12,129.
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS RECOMMENDS THE ADOPTION OF A
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK AND AUTHORIZING A
FINAL PAYMENT OF $583.30 TO CUYAHOGA WRECKING CORPORATION FOR
AFRICAN SQUARE PROPERTY - DEMOLITION - 1974.
