RESOLUTION NO. 76-196
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE SUM OF $600 FROM
THE: CONTINGENCY FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF
RECORDING EQUIPMENT TO BE PLACED AT THE
DISPOSAL OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
MIAMI CITY GENERAL EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
PLAN FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECURING VERBATIM
MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS OF SAID BOARD.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Miami City
General Employees' Retirement Plan has immediate need of a
recording machine to properly record the minutes of the Board
Meetings; and
WHEREAS, the proposed sum of $600 will enable the
City to purchase the necessary recording equipment and place
the same at the disposal of the Board of Trustees, thereby
allowing maximum efficiency from said equipment; and
WHEREAS, funds are available from the Contingency Fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The sum of $600 be and the same is hereby
allocated from the Contingency Fund for the purchase of record-
ing equipment to be placed at the disposal of the Board of Trustees
of the Miami City General Employees' Retirement Plan for the
purpose of securing verbatim minutes of the meetings of said
Board.

Equipment for
Verbatim Minutes
ENCLOSLRES:
A Manpower employee was assigned to transcribe the minutes of the
meetings of the Miami City General Employees Retirement Plan.
Special equipment, like the recording machines used by the City
Clerk's office, is necessary in order for the employee to perform
her duties. The Board tried to utilize existing City equipment
belonging to the City Clerk, but that did not work out. If this
can not be settled administratively, the Board of Trustees has
authorized the expenditure of Trust monies: to purchase this equipment.
These expenditures must be approved by the City Commission.
The equipment necessary and approximate costs are as follows;
24 Sony C-90 + 2 Recording Tape
1 Sony DE-35 Listening Device
1 RM-35 Sony Type Control Unit
1 Sony BM-35 Recorder
